Dawn Dish Soap – Our Favorite
Dawn Dish Soap is Maggie’s favorite. “When in doubt, Dawn it out,” is something said on a weekly, if not daily, basis. Dawn i pH neutral, meaning it can be used on almost any surface, including kitchens, bathrooms, floors, windows, and stains. A little Dawn goes a long way. We mix about a tea spoon in a 36 ounce spray bottle.
Bar Keepers Friend
Bar Keepers Friend is an acid powdered cleaner. This works best when cleaning toilets and other porcelain surfaces, and stainless steel. Bar Keepers Friend is a great option for hard water stains; the powder form helps to scrub these stained areas.
Mr. Clean
Available in a variety of scents, Mr. Clean is a great multipurpose cleaner. At Eckler Cleaning Services, we buy the 2x concentrate bottle and 1/8 cup of cleaning product per gallon of water. It is just slightly alkaline and great for general surfaces, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Easy-Off Oven Cleaner
Eckler Cleaning Services loves Easy-Off Oven Cleaner because, we can let the science go to work for us. We use oven cleaner along with a wet pumice stone to scrape off the excess grime in your oven. Let us clean your oven and we will have it looking brand new!
*Do NOT use oven cleaner in a blue oven. The oven cleaner will destroy your blue finish.
Vinegar, Water, and Dawn Dish Soap Mixture
In a 36 ounce spray bottle, mix equal parts vinegar and water, and add a teaspoon of dawn. This cleaning mixture works great for bathrooms, glass, and porcelain. This also helps fight hard water stains and soap scum. We add essential oils to mask the smell of the vinegar. Some of our favorite scents are lemongrass and orange.
Sprayway Glass Cleaner
Sprayway glass cleaner is our favorite glass cleaner; we won’t use anything else. It is worth the price compared to others! Sprayway is an ammonia-free cleaner. When ammonia and vinegar are mixed, toxic gasses are created. Since Sprayway is ammonia-free, it is safe for us to use in your showers after we’ve cleaned with our vinegar mixture. This is a streak-free glass cleaner and our favorite way to use it is with a t-shirt rag.
Zep Neutral Floor Cleaner
Zep Neutral Floor Cleaner says it in the name: it is pH neutral. This cleaner can be used on almost any floor. A little goes a long way; we use one ounce in our O-Ceder Mop bucket with hot water.
