I understand the theory behind baseboards in homes, but man, are they a pain to clean and keep that way. I don’t want flying cars in the future, I want self-cleaning baseboards. Anti-hair, anti-dust and anti-scuff baseboards.
Since we still have to wait on that invention, here are some of the best ways to keep your baseboards looking clean all year.

Other than that option, you can easily get hair and dust off baseboards by using the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner to do a quick clean. If you’re doing a deeper dive, make sure you vacuum first to get the dust and debris away when it comes time to wipe them down.
Mix a bucket of warm water, a teaspoon of Dawn dish soap, and a splash of vinegar and dip a sponge or soft cloth to scrub scuffs and stains. The kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms get especially dirty, so make sure you get all the nooks and crannies when you go through. Cotton swabs can also help get the creases on the top of the baseboard and the corner where two walls meet. Once your baseboards are clean, rub them with a dryer sheet to prevent the static that attracts dust.
Luckily, this chore only needs to be completed once a month or less depending on how dirty your baseboards get. Even luckier if you have Maggie Eckler and her team clean them.
