Everyone grew up in different homes and different methods of cleaning. Some families clean each week, others every couple and some hire Eckler Cleaning and let them do the work! The frequency of your cleaning just depends on how many pets you have, how many children and your environment. If you’re somewhere that is dusty and muddy, you’ll have to dust and clean your floors more often.
Bathrooms should be cleaned regularly, especially when displaying signs of being dirty. Bacteria can grow faster in warm, wet places so the bathroom is ideal for this kind of growth. Focus on the surfaces and the toilet in between Eckler cleans and you’ll never notice it is dirty! Ideally, bathrooms should be cleaned top to bottom once a week.
Kitchen counters also should be cleaned regularly depending on use. Wiping it down at the end of the day is a great habit to get into so you always wake up with a clean counter. Door handles, cabinet handles, microwave handles and refrigerator handles all should be sanitized frequently since they are touched frequently. This goes for light switches too.
A good thorough cleaning is really up to you and how you feel in your space. If you can stand a little hair on the floor (Maggie Eckler has four cats, she understands), once a week or every other week is sufficient to vacuum and sweep.
