Five Pet Friendly Cleaners

As one of Hendricks county’s favorite pet friendly cleaning services, Eckler Cleaning Services makes it a mission to keep all pets safe while we are cleaning. Afterall, your pets are an important member of your family, and we love working under their supervision.

First, it’s always a good idea to read the labels on your cleaning product, follow usage instructions, and test a small area before using any cleaning product around your pets. Additionally, consult with your veterinarian for specific recommendations based on your pet’s needs and any existing health conditions they may have.

Vinegar

A mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar can be used as a multi-purpose cleaner for various surfaces. Do not use on granite counter tops or wood floors. It effectively removes odors and can be used on most floors, countertops, and windows.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a natural deodorizer and can be used to absorb odors from carpets, litter boxes, and upholstery. It can also be sprinkled on carpets before vacuuming to freshen them up.

Hydrogen Peroxide

A mixture of equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water can be used to remove stains and disinfect surfaces. However, it’s important to spot test first and avoid using it on colored fabrics as it may cause bleaching.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice can be used as a natural disinfectant and deodorizer. It can be mixed with water and used to clean surfaces or added to laundry to freshen up pet bedding. Who doesn’t love the smell of lemon? Cats. Be careful what you clean with lemon as your cat may be offended by the smell.

Dawn Dish Soap

When diluted properly, Dawn dish soap is safe for your pets. As a favorite product of Eckler Cleaning Services team members, dawn is also safe for nearly any surface type you are cleaning. Remember: a little goes a long way. Use a 32-ounce spray bottle, fill with water and add no more than a teaspoon of dawn.

Remember to always use these cleaning products in moderation and properly ventilate the area while cleaning. Additionally, it’s a good practice to keep pets away from freshly cleaned surfaces until they are completely dry. Have more questions? Reach out to us at contact@ecklercleaning.com.
