Following up on a previous article, here are more way to declutter your house the next 30 days. Start your spring cleaning off right, with a decluttered home.
11. Any old toys, puzzles, and board games you are not regularly using need to go to a new home. You may consider calling local women’s shelters to see if they need any of these items for people there.
12. Take a look at your small appliances you are not using (kitchen or anywhere else) and hair tools. These can be recycled at RecycleForce if they are broken.
13. Any broken items you are waiting to repair to need to be fixed this week or tossed.
14. Most nail polish has a shelf life of 18 to 24 months. Consider going through your collection and getting rid of anything over 2 years old. You can also take today to downsize your hair accessory collection.
15. Any unused decor you are holding onto after not using during the holiday season can be donated. Make sure you declutter your seasonal decor yearly if you do not wish to do this one right now.
16. Old scrub brushes and sponges should be tossed when they get too grimy. Go through your cleaning chemicals and make sure you only have ones you use regularly. If you have old chemicals, consider taking them to Toxaway days near you.
17. Any old cords that you don’t know what it goes to should be donated, tossed, or taken to RecycleForce. Take today to go through your ‘junk drawer’ and anything in it that you don’t use at least once a month, find it a new home or donate it.
18. Go through old emails and unsubscribe to things you don’t need. Clear out old photos and screenshots on your phone. Take the time to delete apps you may not use as well.
19. Extra decor or Knick knacks you may not LOVE 100% need to find a new home. If they no longer give you joy, it’s time to say goodbye.
20. Everyday dishware items you haven’t used the past few months & don’t regularly use should be donated. Look through your cabinets and drawers and see what else is in your kitchen is just taking up space.

22. Your flowerpots and vases that may be ‘too pretty to use’ should have plants in them! Make sure you utilize all your gardening pots before buying more. If you are holding on to plastic ones, consider recycling them if you have a giant stack.
23. Empty picture frames you have been planning to use and yet haven’t put any photos in them can find a new home. You may also take a look around to make sure you don’t have any broken picture frames that could be tossed.
24. Old towels and wash clothes you don’t like to use can be turned into cleaning rags, donated to Misty Eyes, or Eckler Cleaning can take them off your hands.

28. Hobby items such as craft supplies should be used or given to someone who will use them. If you hold on to fabric or yarn for 10 years with no intention of using it, now is the time to part with it. Any broken hobby supplies should be tossed or recycled, for example, broken controllers or old headphones.
29. It’s time to say goodbye to any broken or unused furniture you may be holding on to in hopes of using in the future. Holding onto broken items you hope to fix increases your stress levels. Repair it today or let it go.
