Eckler Cleaning Services specializes in cleaning homes with pets: cats, dogs, birds, fish, one pet, or 11 pets. We understand not all pets (also known as supervisors) react differently to different people.
While cleaning your house is our top priority, we will do anything in our power to make sure your pets are comfortable.
Overly Excited Pets
When we first arrive to your home, some pets get very excited. Your pet may jump, run, and slobber. We understand. We’re excited to see them, too!
Typically, we will take a minute to greet your pet, whether it’s our first-time meeting or the 100th time. Usually, once an excited pet takes time to greet us, they will settle down. Except for Tank, he’s always excited. We understand and have learned how to work with his excitement.
Spicy Pets
Some pets, especially cats, get hostile or angry when we show up. Our method for angry or spicy pets is to give them their space. We never back a dog into a corner, and we will leave a hissing cat in their own space.
We don’t want to stress out your pet, and we don’t want injuries either. At times, we will avoid cleaning the location a pet is in, just so they feel safe.
One spicy kitty, Frankie, sits in a window and growls when we get too close. To give Frankie the space and respect she deserves, we don’t try to clean the window she is sitting in. We will also completely clean the room she is in all at once, so we don’t need to enter her space again.
Anxious or Nervous Pets
Just like humans, some pets get anxious when we arrive. We are sensitive to all pets’ needs. Like angry pets, we will give your pet the space they need. Sometimes, all they need is a treat as a reminder that we are their friend. Again, we will never want to make the pet feel trapped.
We had a gold doodle we worked with that would get anxious because her owner wasn’t home. We would have the same team member enter the house first and give her a treat. Over time, the dog remembered this team member and was less anxious when we arrived.
