Your Guests will feel like they are at a Hotel

Do you have guests coming in town for the holidays? Here’s a quick guide to help you freshen up your guest room to make it feel more like a relaxing hotel stay for your guests.

Declutter

Less is more for your guest room. Keep decor and miscellaneous items to a minimum. Consider a mini fridge for your guest stocked with water or other beverages. You want the environment to look and feel comfortable for your guests.

PRepare your supplies

Gather all the necessary cleaning supplies, including cleaning solutions, disinfectants, fresh linens, towels, and toiletries for the guest room and guest bathroom. Open the windows while you clean to allow fresh air in.

Clean the Guest room

Making the bed with freshly washed linens. Ensure a neat and inviting appearance by pulling out wrinkles in the sheets and blanket. Fluff pillows and arrange them in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including furniture, countertops, tables, and shelves. Remember, you get a better clean if you wet clean a surface in lieu of dry dusting.

Vacuum the floors, paying attention to corners, edges, and under furniture. Mop hard floors with the grain of the floor to get the best clean.

Clean the Guest Bathroom

Thoroughly clean the bathroom, including the toilet (and behind it), sink, bathtub or shower, mirrors, fixtures, and touch points. Replenishing toiletries, towels, and other amenities in the bathroom. A tiny bottle of soap or shampoo specifically for this guest goes a long way for the hotel experience.

Final touches

Do a final inspection of the room, ensuring everything is clean, organized, and in working order. Make sure there are spare blankets in the closet for your guest as well.
